I just want to apologize for today’s pun title. It’s really bad, I know.
Okay party people, you spoke, and I listened!! I finally made a dessert!! I also have a confession to make. I’m probably going to get in trouble for saying this, but here it goes:
I don’t really like dessert very much.
I KNOW, I KNOW, it’s a travesty. I’m sorry. I’ve just never been a big sweets person. I much prefer salty and savory things. Plus, I prefer cooking over baking. One exception though, is pie!!! I do really enjoy a nice slice of pie. That’s what brought me to today’s recipe: apple pie!!!

Apple pie is one of those classic desserts that is just an American staple. Kind of like baseball and beer. #America. Apparently it’s also a Hyrule staple as well, as plenty of people you will talk to in the game talk about apple pie.

I have two disclaimers before I go into this recipe: 1.) This is definitely NOT my own recipe. I wish I could take credit for it, but like I said before, I really don’t bake much, so I definitely wouldn’t be able to come up with this on my own. 2.) I’m an idiot and COMPLETELY forgot to take step by step pictures of the whole process, because I was so focused on making sure I got everything right. I realized this literally the second I pulled the completed pie out of the oven, and kind of had a mini mental breakdown in my kitchen. (Ask my boyfriend, he’s the one that had to deal with it). I’m going to do my best to detail the process without pictures so please bear with me!!! I still cannot believe I forgot to take ANY.
Here is the link to the apple pie recipe I used. I made this recipe a few years ago and it came out amazing, so I figured I would use the same one again!
The first step is to preheat your oven!! There’s nothing worse than getting ready to put something in the oven and realizing you completely forgot to preheat it. This recipe requires you to preheat it to 425 degrees.
I first started off by peeling and cutting up all the apples. The recipe called for 8 Granny Smith apples, which actually turned out to be WAY too many. I only used half of the apples, and have enough left to make a second pie! (this means I got to eat a snack too while I baked. I couldn’t resist)
I agree I am also not much of a desert person, well I really don’t like pie to say the least. I’m more of a Flan guy, but that apple pie looks really good, I’m not much of a cook or a baker but that recipe looks easy to follow. I will try my best to mimic the the recipe. It was a good blog minus the missing pictures lol but mistakes happen. Looking forward to next week

I am a major sweet tooth, and although pie isn’t one of my favorite desserts, apple pie seems appetizing especially since its the fall time (but most likely I won’t get around to trying apple pie because…I don’t eat fruits lol). Anyways didn’t realize the lack of step by step images would really change the whole appeal haha, also the blog seems to end abruptly or mid way completed because it only mentions pre heating and cutting the apples and no more steps beyond this. I can tell you will definitely not forget to take pics next time because of your panic with the pie haha! Regardless I was still able to mentally visualize a process of baking a pie.

WOAH.. how can you not be a sweets person? Just kidding, everyone has their own taste! Although you’re not a sweets person, at least you made an effort to make a dessert! To be honest, I’m not much of a pie person, I rarely eat pie. However, you have made that apple pie look so delicious that I wish I can just grab it through my screen! If only. Great post!
